Storing gas is indeed capital intensive. there’s alot of things to consider: 1) The Operating pressure of vessel, since most of the materials you’ve mentioned are low in tensile and compressive strength. 2) The reactivity of the material to be stored, the material should be inert and corrosive resistant at least.3) The cost and economic life of the material to be used.
