Is President Bush?s problem in Iraq due to America being a ?glass house???
THE BELOW DECODED EXCERPT IS FROM YAHOO?S QUESTIONS & ANSWERS:
(Can you be the hero who breaks the “POWELL CODE” and stops the Iraq war and terrorism?)
The forthcoming novel “Bonus of Virtue” by Aaron Westley Powell, explains how and why the battle for the Earth has begun. It also explains how and why America cannot morally assist in establishing democracy in Iraq and the Middle East through the current Iraq war when, until as a gesture of trust and good faith in the eyes of the world, a duly elected president of the United States officially apologizes to African Americans for past Black slavery in America, it still has not officially established democracy here in America. Which means that America is actually a glass house.

First of all, we are NOT a democracy. We are a REPUBLIC. Please see the Pledge of Allegiance, “…and to the Republic for which it stands…”
Secondly, what on EARTH does the history of slavery in America have to do with the war on terror and the quest for stability and democracy in the Middle East?
Lastly, even if Bush did apologize to Blacks for slavery (which is a crock since there are many people in the United States who are Black but do not descend from slaves, but I digress…) what would it do to further democracy?

Why should America today, apologize for slavery when it ended over a hundred years ago. Its people like you who keep racism alive. I don’t apologize for what my ancestors did to Indians 400 years ago. I don’t even care.
Its how the world works. One strong group takes over a weak group. Slavery, as the United States used it, was wrong. Okay. Yeah, I agree with that. But its over. It was abolished and hasn’t been seen for 120 years.
President Bush did not own slaves. No members of Congress owned slaves. In fact, nobody alive today in America owned slaves, in this country.
America apologized when the slaves were freed. You can’t apologize for what somebody else did.
And the US is a Republic for goodness sake! It is not a democracy.

First thing, America is definitely not a glass house. I think U. S. has already apologized enough for the past black slavery in America, and third–I don’t know what Bush had in mind when he brought on the IRAQ WAR.

All America cares about is making money, money, money. The whole society is based on this.
As for apologising for slavery, no it takes two to tango and the African Chiefs were more than half involved in the whole sad sorry affair.
A Glass House? The US is more of a Pain In The *** House more like.

NOTE: The United States is a democratic republic. This is technically very different from a true democracy.
RESPONSE: I think that an apology as you and Powell deem important (even critical) will not have a positive impact on foreign or domestic affairs – morally or otherwise. Sure, it sounds good, but it would serve only egos and fingerpointers who need a reason to be miserable.
