Try getting a mesh that is either stainless steel or any type of plastic. Don’t use other types of meshes (especially if it says galvanized) cause they contain harmful chemicals as well as rust problems. Try to get meshes that have 1/4″+ openings so that the moss can freely grow through the mesh. To keep them at the background, you can use suctions to hold it in place.
For your anubia to grow plantlets, you have to look for a thing called stolon. Its just a stem that will grow out plants (like amazons plants).

Get 2 sheets of craft mesh from craft store. #7 & #5 are fine.
$2.60.
Get something to tie the two together. I use wire ties for cables.
Lay one sheet down.
Stretch the moss in a single layer on it. Do not put clumps down… just single layer deep.
Put the top sheet on & bind them together.
Use a suction cup to hold it to the wall of the aquarium.
In about 3 weeks it should start growing out of the plastic matt.
Success.
