Can scotch whisky age in a glass bottle.?
I have a bottle of regal scotch whisky that was 8yrs old when bottled and I have had it for 22yrs unopend.
Would it have aged in the glass bottle ?

I wish they would be I don’t think so.
“Unlike wine, once whisky, and spirits in general, are bottled they don?t age.”

Shame on you! My bottles of scotch only last a few days when opened. Drink my friend and enjoy!!!
It might have mellowed some – depending a temperature differentials, light, etc. But its still an 8 year old cask aged scotch. So I dunno the rules there.

nope!
aging is done in the barrels, that’s it!
you can store it for years but the flavor will be the same.

Then you still have an 8-year-old Scotch. Scotch is aged in barrels. Once bottled the aging process stops.
