Will windex damage my ceramic glass stovetop?
While I was out of town, a friend thought she’d be nice and clean my kitchenaid stove. She used windex on the ceramic glass top and on the black edge backsplash? The backsplash is spotty. How can I get rid of that and will the top be damaged now?

I’ve used Windex on mine and it hasn’t harmed it. I would get the stuff (I can’t think what it’s called, but you can get it at Wal Mart) specifically for ceramic glass tops and it should get rid of the spots.

No, it won’t damage it. The spots are just from left over Windex residue.
Just clean it with Ceramabright and it’ll be good as new.
However, now Abrasives and DEFINITELY not copper bottom pots.
If you spill something over while using a copper bottom pot, you will RUIN the cooktop. The ceramic top and the copper bottom will galvanize together and you WILL NOT EVER clean off the residue.

No, because Windex? is made just for glass.
P.S. The spots are from the suds & residue. Clean the residue off with water.

the spots are where she missed wiping up the excess.you can clean ceramic with acid and it still will be ok.
