What should you do if the inside of the watch glass has steamed up?
It became accidentally wet – the watch isn’t water proof. The mist left, but condensation formed on the glass which is very annoying. Also, the mechanism still works. How can I remove the condensation?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated

I’ve gotten rid of this before by placing the watch on a radiator for a while – it seems to dry it out and the heat didn’t harm the watch.
If you want to place the watch face down put a single sheet of tissue paper under it to prevent scratching the glass.

I had the same problem the other day, in time it should unsteam itself but take it to your local jewellers because you may need to have it looked at and the face tightened. And of course don’t get it wet again! Silly billy!

put it on a television the face side down…not a radiator too warm.

My watch used to do the same thing but it doesn’t now ’cause what you do is let you watch sit in a cold, cold room. and the steam should go away

Try a hairdryer. But if this is a fairly expensive watch, it’s worth $20. or less to have it cleaned! Or the works will probably be damaged.

Take it to the jewelerry shop

Set it in a warm place…we use to have a shelf over our oil range and I’d put mine there, but a radiator, base board heater, etc. would work. Bake a cake and set it on top of the stove…Don’t use a microwave. I don’t think you will but some people might.

Depending on the watch, you may be able to disassemble the entire thing and dry it off. Here’s how:
1) remove the back with a small screwdriver (most watches this part will either pop off or be fastened with several screws).
2) examine the inner workings of the watch. if it’s a newer watch, there will most likely be one piece that contains everything. If there’s no way to get everything out in one or two pieces, put it back together and have someone fix it.
3) use tweezers or a small pair of pliers to remove the watch movement assembly. This will hopefully include the face. If it doesn’t, you should put everything back together and take it to a jeweler. Otherwise…
4) the glass should be visible. Use a tissue to wipe it dry, and reassemble your watch.

try putting it in an airing cupboard if you have one

Leave the sun to dry it, or pop the watch and take the glass out and dry it.

No biggie some cheaper divers watches steam up, it doesn’t
Mean it is leaking just a tiny bit moisture trapped inside.
Make sure you crown is screwed down or closed mine just snaps in.
Run some hot tap water and hold your watch face up under the running water for 30 sec’s or a little longer if needed. Voila Problem solved
It dosn’t hurt to get a jeweller to look it over prob cost 20.00

My watch keeps getting condensation inside, so I use heat to dry it out but then I look at it again and the condensation is back!!! Without me even going NEAR water or extreme heat to cause fog.. Any ideas?? Maybe the face is loose? But how would that cause condensation??

Get a hearing aid microwave drying desicant, dry in M/W and put in a box with the watch. Cheap on eg Amazon.
