the following are the disadvantages………
***the effect of strength enhancement is lost….
*** Disposing wate is also a concern..
***health of the workers is a major disadvanatge
**The use of natural resources these day is a havoc…….the are difficult to replace…..

Well, pros are that glass is a needed product and so you are filling a need. Cons are many – energy consumption, pollution, waste disposal concerns, health of workers, use of natural resources which are difficult to replace etc.
I could not follow the purpose of the question.
