It’s a type of slip resistant finish, it’s not a specific type of grab bar. It’s very nice looking, not as cheesy as knurled, also not as slip resistant as knurled. We have always needed to special order them (from Wing-its, curiously it’s not on their website). Keep in mind that if this is for building code purposes, it need not be specifically acid-etched, it needs to be ‘roughned’, such as knurled which is FAR easier to find.
