Polyamide, PC or glass bottles?
I just heard of the chemical release with PC bottles and how San Fransisco is the only city to ban them. So the recommended bottles to use are polyamide bottles (which don’t have this chemical) or glass. Does anyone use Born Free bottles that are Bisphenol A free? Or should I buy glass bottles?

This was one study done by one group of people. Polycarbonate does not break down in hot water or when hot liquids are placed into a polycarbonate container (bottle). Polycarbonate does not break down at all.
All these studies on BPA are done by independant agencies, not the FDA or any big, well known agency. They are done by independent agencies, mainly companies who sell products. They are trying to make a buck telling you they make a product without BPA in it and it’s so much better than the others. They conduct the study, then come out with this new product saying that if you use the other bottles, you will harm your child. I’m sorry, but personally I would rather buy from a company with a good reputation (Gerber, Playtex, Avent) than a company that I’ve never heard of before, that did a study, and miracuously they are the only ones selling this product.
Check out this statement from Playtex

Here’s another site I found that has some good facts about BPA
http://www.bisphenol-a.org/index.html
If you’re set on using BPA free bottles, I would recommed the Playtex bottles with the drop in liners. The liners are 100% BPA free. I’m not sure of the price of the other bottles you have listed but Playtex drop ins are quite inexpensive. This is what we use for our twins who are 8 months old.

Born Free’s are pretty expensive. Evenflo makes a glass bottle that sells in Babies R Us for $4.99 for a 3 pack. I did almost get them but my son is a fidgeter and I was afraid he would knock the bottle and it would hit him in the face. Those suckers are heavy!
I ended up replacing all my bottles with Nuby Non Drip bottles. The come in a 3 pack of wide or standard size nipples. AND they are BPA (Bisphenol A) free. I bought mine for $7.99 at Babies R Us. I can tell you the nipple that came with it is a bit odd and your baby may not like it (mine didn’t). But Walmart carries a pack of nipples under their “parents choice” brand that is actually made by the Nuby company and fits the standard side Nuby bottle.
Good Luck!
