LCD, glass or plastic?
I am just wondering that the stupid guys at school who couldn’t give a rats bum about other property, They touch the LCD computerscreens all the time and i mean ‘press really hard’, and when they do the screen discolours and goes dark around there fingers, you know what i mean, so anyhoo, is it actuall plastic or glass that covers the LCD screen on computers, because if it is glass, it must be thin!!!

It depends. Some are glass while others are plastic.

LCD monitors just have a thin plastic on the screen and is not ment to protect against any physical damage. It sucks but you should find someone who can watch out for this and punish the idiots responsible. Last thing you need is to have to do your work on a screen that is broken because these jerks don’t care.

there are a couple of layers of glass under the plastic. what you see when you push on the screen is the liquid not being able to refract light in the way it was inteded. What you don’t want to happen is to push so hard you crack the glass which can lead to this: http://www.fontblog.de/C1413545161/E1863918477/index.html
