For me, I’m kinda like “Wow! I’ve got a glass!”

Always half full – am i skint yes i am – but only because i have five wonderful children to keep in trainers – sweeties – xbox games – pocket money – i could go on.
Is my house a mess – yes it is – but only because we are all so busy with doing stuff / having fun / sitting here playing on the computer, etc.
Has the weather been foul – yes it has but we haven’t been flooded out and my house is warm and cosy and dry.
Have i got more inches around my waist than i would really like – yes i have but only because i have had 5 children and my lovely husband brings me home chocolate a lot!! – and he does all the cooking!!
Actually you know what – my glass it totally full!!!! -

It really depends on the person. If you’re a pessimist, the glass is half empty. If you’re an optimist, it’s half full. I prefer to think of it as half full because there’s still some left. Always think on the positive side of things- it makes a bad situation much better!

I have always thought of this as a timing statement. Is the glass being filled or is the glass be emptied? If you have a glass that was empty and is now half full then the glass is clearly half full, if you are drinking a full glass to the half way point then the glass is half empty…………??????????????

if there are a lot of water marks on one side of the glass, it probably means someone poured out some of the water, making the glass half empty. If there are little speckles all over it, it probably means someone just poured water into the glass, making it half full.

Oh, I totally agree with your theory on what you are doing with the glass. You don’t just find a glass with water to halfway that just magically appeared. Though, if on the off-chance one did magically appear, the pessimistic side of me pushes through to say half empty.
You could argue that it’s almost impossible to tell if a glass is exactly half full or empty, unless you counted up all the water molecules in a completely full glass and then took exactly half of them away… but that would just be stupid!

Oh i dunno. I mean, you applied the energy to ask the question even though it’s been asked a thousand million times before. Assuming that you are actually drinking the milk, it can’t be either – and if it was half full, and it was staying that way, I would think of it more as an old undesireable glass of milk more then anything else. i think my mind’s going insane. It likes to play mean tricks on me. For example, one time, my brain told me the glass was half full, while it was obviosly half empty. And then when i went to pick it up, it turned out there was never a cup there. It was actually a mini bucket. stupid mini, good-for-nothing buckets. They get me everytime!
