If you have 100 kg of brass and you will have to prepare 100 utensils,each glass of 250grams,each mug of 1 kil

    let
    glass = x
    mug = y
    bucket = z

    equation 1
    x + y + z = 100

    equation 2
    0.25x + y + 5z = 100

    solve these two equation simultaneously.

    Set up equations with:

    G = glass
    M= mug
    B = bucket

    1. 100 = G + M + B (making sure you have 100 utensils)
    2. 100 = .25G + M + 5B (250g = .25kg etc., making sure you use 100 kg of brass)

    Adam has the equations to get going on this thing. There are several possible answers, as one could simply make 100 mugs and use all the brass. 16 glasses, 81 mugs, and 3 buckets is another possibility. This is a fun one to play with, keeping in mind we want integer values for our quantities, as half a bucket doesn’t hold much water.
