If there is still glass in my face, will it come out or not?
when i got into a car accident, the window shattered in my face. now its been a month and i have a lump (when i touch it) in my forehead and it feels very odd. it hurts a little and in some areas i have no feeling. could glass still be in there, and how in the world am i going to get it out!

My son had glass embedded in the back of his head where he took out the back window of the truck he was driving in, in a head on accident.
The Dr’s froze his head & dug out some of the pieces. His were chunks about the size of a pea. He then had those stitched back up. Unfortunately he still has some in his head. It bugs him because when he chews, he can sometimes hear it. The Dr said they might work there way out, but it’s been over 3 years now & they’re still in.
If they don’t come out, the Dr said it was not really a problem.

Sometimes the glass will slowly work it’s way out if it is small enough, but chances are it won’t. I’d recomend seeing your doc and talking to him about it…. If it wasn’t your fault then you shouldn’t have to pay have getting it removed… If it was then tb… Good luck!

I was in a car wreck many years ago and sometimes when im washing my face it will start bleeding where glass has worked its way out,I guess its the only way for it to come out.

Just give it time to work itself out.
If after about a month you still get the odd feeling, consult your doctor.

I still have pieces of glass that work their way out of my head and it has been 28 years since my auto accident.

I had a severe car wreck in 1984 and I still have glass coming out it is bad when the pieces are bigger it will come up and down try drawing salve and cover with one of the round dot bandaid. It suck but at least we r alive to get the glass out.. I’m a woman and it sucks because it’s my face… Good luck
