I smashed the ceramic glass top on the cooker yesterday – where can you buy replacements – cooker is bit old!?
Are ceramic glass tops on cookers standard sizes and can you fit a replacement easily? Where can you buy one from?

They are not standard and you’d need to go via the manufacturer or a supplier of spare parts for your brand. Over 5 years old and unlikely to be able to obtain one – Insurance job

I would check with the place that you bought it from. If they don’t carry them they could tell you who does.

i would look at an antique store. or call the manufacture of your cooker to see if they have any replacements or if they could make you one. or you could just buy a new one

Any good major DIY store has a range of ceramic hobs from about £60 upwards. It’s unlikely you’d just get the ceramic top on its own.

Cooker Spares UK do one to fit an AEG hob, but their web site doesn’t give the size.

I did this once, on a Jenn-Air oven/stovetop. I found the replacement top for about 2/3 the price of the oven itself. Check repairclinic.com for parts. On the other hand, if the oven is very old, you might as well replace the whole thing, as the part is worth almost as much as a new oven.

I have owned 3 different stoves with ceramic cooktops (bought a new one each time I bought a house).
In each case, the salesperson told me that replacing the ceramic cooktop was nearly as expensive as the whole unit (75%). This may have been because he was also trying to sell the extended warranty, but was consistent between all three brands/ stores.

I never found a manufacturer (including store that sells them) that had a replacement – - discontinued, of course.
But, I took the diameter measurement, I found similar (not perfect fit – but very close) at the Goodwill type stores (take your tape measure with you). Did same thing for glass pot for the drip coffee maker.
Good luck, you will need it.

Phone the company who makes the cooker
The chances are that they will sell you one cheaply because there will be no middle man

Each one is different, so you will need to buy the correct one, the cost however starts at around £100 going up to over £200, so it may well not be worth repairing if its a few years old.
