I need help. Exploding glass..?
So I was just sitting watching tv and I hear this pop and look around and realize that this glass with ice and a little bit of water has broken like completely around the bottom. I’m assuming it has something to do with a body shop oil burner that was sort of near it but the table wasnt hot, any ideas?

glass cannot hanlde stresses from large temperature differenced. the heat radiating from the burner heated up the outside of the glass while the icewater at the bottom kept it cool. Once the fracture started it traveled all the way around the glass.
