I have difficulty getting to sleep and I have been told that drinking a warm glass of milk can help… True?
If it is true, why should I have to heat it, my body can do that on it’s own… so is drinking a cold glass as effective?

Dairy foods are a good source of tryptophan, an amino acid that your body converts to melatonin and serotonin ? both of which are thought to induce sleep Warmth: the few degrees that this drink might raise your body temperature is often enough to trigger the slowdown response we have on warm days. In addition there is anecdotal evidence that the warm milk reminds us of the time when we were infants, hence “sleep like a baby.”

i agree with Kate but you can also take a Tylenol p.m. as well with that glass of milk and sleep even better.
