How to break into a sliding glass door?

i’m locked out of my house and need to get in can anyone tell me how to get in my sliding glasses door without breaking the glass?

I think you should call a locksmith. They might tell you without charging you, if you can prove it’s your house. I fear telling you in this forum might educate some dishonest people.

it usualy depends on the type of glass door. Some you can push and slide it open at the same time, others u cant open unless you have some tools.

Lboogie is right if it is an older door, you have to lift it off the track. Since most older sliding glass doors work with a small hook locking mechanism that comes down and catches a pin, and the glass is only secured in position by its hangers, the overlap of the inner glass, and an exterior metal lip, you physically have to lift the door off the track. I’ve done it with two flat head screwdrivers when I was locked out of my house.
