How do you break the glass on a fire alarm pull sstation?
The UK Fire Alarm says Break Gflass and there is a circle that says press here. Do you break the glas with your hand and then press the curcke or will pressing the cirlce break the glass? What will you feel when pressing the cirlce when the glass breaks? Will the glass fall on the floor? How do you get your hand out after the glass breaks? Do you neec to push a button after the glass breaks? How ard do you need to press

The glass won’t cut you because it won’t “break”. It is designed to just crack along a pre-designed line. Press firmly against the glass and your force will push the glass sheet in. This is enough to depress the button underneath. The alarm will sound and you will know that you have activated he system.
If you are afraid of hurting yourself, use your elbow!

Check at the right-hand side of the alarm and there should be a miniature brass hammer with which to break the “glass” – and it isn’t glass, it’s very strong plastic. If the hammer is missing, use your elbow.
The plastic/glass will not shatter, but will crack which releases the pressure on the button underneath and the alarm is triggered automatically.
Leave the building immediately after setting off the alarm.
If the building is on fire, I doubt if anyone will be concerned about any little bits of the plastic which may have fallen onto the floor.
