How do magicians throw the card you chose through a solid glass window?

i just watched an episode of criss angel:mindfreak,he had a person select a card, sign it and put it back in the deck. criss than thew the deck at a solid glass window, and the persons card was on the other side of the window, could someone explain to me how to do this, or give me a link to a website that will tell me how to do this trick?
