How do I get a black and white photocopied design onto a piece of silver in order to etch it with acid?
What chemical do I use to firstly transfer the design onto the metal (on the reverse side of the pattern) and how can I make the pattern etch-resistant? C’mon brainboxes help me out!!

Do you do jewelery smithing?
If so ask your teacher.
I think you need some special paper.

There are spray-on UV sensitive films used for covering copper clad board to make printed circuit boards. You spray on an even thin layer, lat it dry. Then add a back mask and expose to hard UV from a UV light box for 5 mins of so. Then remove the exposed compound with a developer – sodium hydroxide. Then etch in ferric chloride.
Maybe you can do similar with silver ?
I’d try a laser etch system. Oh, and by coincidence, I make them!!! Not good on a curved surface though.

Hi friend ! you cannot only engrave on sliver ware ,but not acid etch on sliver . because acid will blacken or damaged the the shine of the sliver . You can send your ware to Queensway shopping mall to do the etching.
