How can I remove the bottoms of glass bottles?
I want to use the discs of glass for mosaic work.

heat a long knife in a fire or with a blow torch when red hot turn the bottle whilst holding the knife against it ,keep a steady turn going and wear gloves and goggles

use a glass cutter and gentle taps on the bottom use heavy gloves good luck

also, i think Ronco came out with a bottle cutter several years ago for making decorative glasses out of coke bottles and jars. Haven’t seen them advertised for some time now.
