How can I keep fruit flies out of my wine glass?
I live in Southern California and in the summer fruit flies appear in our house, but only in our wine. How can we keep them from diving in the glass?

Line the glass with lime juice (from a lime wedge will do) This will keep the flies away. This is the reason why coronas from mexico come with a lime since most bars in mexico are open windowed and without screens

I had a similar problem in Texas a couple of years back. I just started putting a coaster on top of the glass when I set it down.

Maybe you should invent the anti-fruit-fly screen mesh lid. Like an ordinary plastic lid, except recessed a little and with a plastic screen mesh instead of solid plastic on top.

Small problem, yo! No, seriously – you can use a smaller wine glass with a smaller opening, and pour it only half or a third full – and drink it, don’t let it sit around wafting it’s bouquet all over the patio making like a bug magnet. And get some citronella candles to help keep the friggin’ bugs away.

Thoroughly wash your glasses soak them for a few minutes make sure they are clean. Is this when the glass has wine or not? It’s just not clear sorry

well idk about into the glass but you could make a trap. put cider in a jar and a peice of apple as well. then cover the jar with saran wrap and poke holes in it with a pin. the fruit flies can smell their wy in cuz they are attracted to the smell but they cant find their way out!

They are environmentally friendly and can be attached to various sizes of glasses and, they have access for drink straws.
Great for the home, the garden party and BBQ. So simple you wish you’d thought of them…..
