Glass blocks as a backsplash or cool ideas?

I am just wondering if glass blocks look nice as a backsplash in a kitchen? My kitchen is dark brown with beige counters and design. I have stainless steel appliances. I first wanted to get a mirrored backsplash but I guess they are very hard to keep clean. Any other cool backsplash ideas
