Can I drill very small holes in glass and dishware for projects? As small 1/16″?
I need to drill small holes in glass and Im not sure what is the best way to do this. Sometimes near the ends for hanging crystals What kind of bit and where can I get it? Or is a dremmel the way to go? I wonder if anyone has it figured out.

I recently got told that you best keep the whole object under water. You need to be careful that the water does not come into your (electric) drill, and of course do you need a bit that is right for the job. (Diamond?)
The water is dampening the vibrations of drilling and they are what makes the most of the breakage. And on top of that it will keep the bit cool and keep the glass dust from flying round.

Dremel would befine if you get the glass cutting bit.

yes you can drill in glass but you need a very sharp bit and a drill that turns at a high rate of speed. start with the very smallest size and work your way up to the size you need this staep is very important. and dont get to close to the edge or it will crack very easy

Dremel has diamond drills for this purpose. You have to cool the glas with water and be very carefull with the mains!!!

Yes.
There are special bits made for this.
For larger holes, I have used ‘valve lapping compound’ and a dowel, and actually ‘grind’ the hole through the glass.
