Can holes be made in glass without breaking it?
I have a large glass bowl and as I no longer have any use for it, I thought I might turn it into a planter. Is there any way to get some holes in the bottom, without breaking it?

There are drill bits for glass as one person has already stated. Anytime you are working with glass…it can break….but taking it real slow with very little pressure…and you should be able to put in a few holes.

You can buy drill bits made to drill glass.

Yes, I have seen it done with bullets. I don’t know any practical ways of doing it though.

Don’t take a chance on it. Place about two inches of gravel on the bottom and you will be fine for drainage. Or put your plant in a smaller pot and them place it in the bowl.
