Are glass packs really worth the money and Do they break easy?
I want to buy a glass pack but I don’t know what would be the best one to buy or if there even worth it. Basically I know nothing about them besides what they sound like. If you can help me I would really appreciate it

Glass pack mufflers are actually one of the more durable designs. The glass refers to the fiberglass insulation that is used to deaden sound.
The major advantages are that they are compact generally offer increased performance and gas mileage.
The disadvantages are that they are much louder than other muffler designs and because of this may me illegal in some areas.

They don’t break. It’s fiberglass packed. Similar to the insulation in your walls or ceiling.
They are generally pretty cheap and make the car sound really good so yes, they are worth it. They last as long if not longer than a regular muffler.

A glass pack (Cherry Bomb) has fiberglass in it and wont break. It’s up to the sound you would like to hear. There’s webites that you can hear the different sound each muffler makes so you can hear and decide.

the outside shell lasts forever…but they get louder over time..
i like the sound of them.
and how they fit under the car..
not the best choice for performance,
but they are much better than stock..i like them a lot

no,If you want to improve horse power and sound ,install headers and strait pipes instead, remember you get what you pay for….

Glass packs sound really good for a while, but then the fiber glass blows/burns out of the muffler, then you have basically a straight pipe that is way too loud and will get you tickets.
Better to choose a turbo type muffler that doesn’t have that problem and STILL sounds good.

They won’t break but the “glass” will eventually burn out. Most are on the cheap side when compared to other performance mufflers. Sound depends on what kind of vehicle you put it on. 4 & 6 cyl.s will have a raspier , buzzier tone and a V8 will have a deeper throatier tone. Also if the cat. is still on it will also affect the exhuast note. My 2000 Silverado has two on it and I prefer them over the more expensive performance mufflers.
