Air-Glass: partial reflection/refraction from angle of incidence = pi/2 to 0 when total refraction/transmission between boundaries occurs (you need to calculate the transmission coeff of the em wave in the medium to determine rel amplitudes)
Glass to Air: Partial reflection/transmission until angle of incidence in the denser mediuim is such that sin(i(glass))/sin(r(air))=n =refractive index is such that sin(r) just equals1
or sin(i) within glass =1/n. Beyond this ‘critical angle’ all the light is internally reflected in the glass. (it’s about 41.8deg from the vertical to the boundary surface)
