1979 chevy 1/2 ton driver side door glass jumps off track?
1979 chevy 1/2 ton driver side door glass jumps off track. This happens when I roll the window about half to three quarters down. I took the door panel off and it seems that the guide at the front has weakened. Any way to fix this without replacing the guide? I do not have a welder or cutting equipment.

Try to pinch the guide channel together with a pair of pliers—don’t overdo it. The felt inside the channel may be all worn off and allowing too much slop for the glass to roll up and down correctly. Guide channel is part of the vent window as an assembly to replace.
